Lego Mania 2026 Raises Over £1,200 for Dementia Support South Lincs!
Bourne, Lincolnshire –7 June 2026
Local Lego enthusiasts, families and supporters came together on Sunday 7 June for the first-ever Lego Mania, a community event organised to raise awareness of dementia and support the work of Dementia Support South Lincs.
Held close to Dementia Action Week, the event shone a spotlight on the charity’s Square Hole Club, an early-onset dementia group that meets twice a month and provides social opportunities, support and friendship for people living with dementia.
While Dementia Support South Lincs offers a range of groups and services, Lego Mania was inspired by the interests of members of the Square Hole Club. Many members enjoy Lego building activities, which regularly feature in the group’s programme.
The idea for the event first emerged last year when the charity approached Square Hole Club member David Cox to discuss creating a Lego-themed event.
What began as a simple idea soon developed into a full-scale community event for all ages to enjoy.
Visitors enjoyed a packed programme of activities throughout the day, including an exhibition of impressive Lego builds created by members of the local Lego community and supporters of the charity.
There was also a dedicated building room featuring a variety of Lego challenges, giving participants the chance to win prizes.
Additional attractions included an extensive raffle, a “Guess the Bricks” competition, a lucky dip and a silent auction, all helping to raise valuable funds for the charity.

“Wow what a fantastic day yesterday, words fail me really but it really proved to be such a HUGE success, enjoyed by so many, young and old- all ages. The amount of LEGO interest was sensational and the joy on people’s faces enchanting.“
The charity would like to thank the many businesses and organisations whose generosity made the event possible. Special thanks go to InterGen for sponsoring the event, Pilgrim Foodservice for donating refreshments and Greencore for providing a substantial number of prizes.

Throughout the day, staff from Dementia Support South Lincs were available to provide information, advice and guidance to individuals and families affected by dementia.
The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, with many expressing interests in seeing Lego Mania return in the future.
The charity has already received enquiries and bookings of interest for a potential event next year.
Lego Mania raised an impressive £1,235.97, with all proceeds helping to support the ongoing running costs of the Square Hole Club and ensuring the charity can continue providing vital support to people living with early-onset dementia and their families.
