Of course we could not forget Diwali!
Our members celebrated this wonderful festival of light by dressing up in traditional costume, tasting some of the brilliant Indian cuisine and taking part in the Indian dancing!
We also created Diwali themed artwork which included our names in Hindi, and painted Diwali Diyas. Diyas are traditionally lit during this festival of light to celebrate the victory of good over evil.
A big thank you to our lovely volunteer Shalini, who organised and hosted this brilliant event for all of our SQHC members. We enjoyed learning more about this festival.
