Younger people living with dementia often find there is nothing on offer in their community for their age group.
One of our members summed this up when he said: “There is nothing available for my needs. I feel like a square peg being bashed into a round hole.”
And in response to that we launched Square Hole Club.
This day club is held twice-monthly and offers themed and stimulating activities enabling people with early onset or early stage dementia to engage in everyday activities, contribute to what happens, and be supported appropriately, while their carers take a much needed break to have some reviving ‘me-time’.
Support workers and volunteers are on hand throughout the day to offer assistance and help. Lunch is included as well as coffee, tea, cold drinks and biscuits. Daily newspapers are also available.

The club is held at Deepings Sports and Social Club in Market Deeping on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. These excellent facilities offer a spacious club room, kitchen facilities and is overlooking magnificent sports pitches.
There is a charge for this activity. Please contact us on 01778 426756 if you’re interested in joining or for further details.
