Thank you to one of our Trustees, Sue Blessett, and her “knit and natter” friends in Carlby who made these beautiful TWIDDLEMUFFS.

We took them to our Stamford coffee morning last week and they were a great hit! In fact, we came home with three less than we arrived with. One of our members said he wished something like this had been available for his wife, who he said spent long periods pulling at her clothes in the later stage if her illness. He was visiting a neighbour now living in a care home and took one with him as a gift for her.

TWIDDLEMUFFS are brightly coloured, tactile, and warm and are great for people with dementia, some of whom, seem to like to “fiddle”. There are lots of patterns on the internet if you fancy making one and it’s a great way to use up all your odds and ends of wool. Thanks again, Sue.
