Supporting people living with all types of Dementia, and their families, in The Deepings, Stamford, Bourne and surrounding villages. Charity Number: 1162277
Dementia Support South Lincs is a registered charity and independent community group covering the Bourne, Deepings and Stamford areas of South Lincolnshire.
We hold monthly support meetings and enjoy regular social gatherings including day trips, group outings to concerts, pub lunches and our Annual Ball.
Our support groups offer an opportunity to meet others affected by dementia, to share experiences and provide mutual support. Our Memory Health Care Worker provides advice and information on all types of dementia and related issues. Our Memory Health Care Worker provides emotional support by telephone, email, or in person during home visits.
This year we will hold our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 4 November at Bourne Corn Exchange between 10am–3pm. Hope to see you all there!
This is another opportunity to meet up with friends for coffee and cake but also to do a bit of Christmas shopping.
This year there will be several new stall holders and, of course, some of your old favourites. We are also hoping some members of Bourne’s Tuneless Choir will join us to sing some seasonal songs and carols. Once again, a big thank you to everyone who has been working so hard behind the scenes.
We hold regular monthly meetings in Bourne Corn Exchange on third Wednesday, 10am till 12 noon
An average of around 20 people attend each of these groups. These informal meetings provide the opportunity for carers and cared for to get together over a cup of tea or coffee & a biscuit, to share their experiences and to seek ideas & guidance from our memory health care worker or dementia community.
We do sometimes take the opportunity of having relevant guest speakers at these events, particularly useful in the informal atmosphere of our meetings.
